Home care service for individuals aged 18 and up

Prepare regular non-diet meals
Light and heavy housekeeping
Outside maintenance
Run errands

LIGHT HOUSEKEEPING :

Dusting:

Furniture, knick-knacks, frames, electric baseboards and tables.

Stove and refrigerator :

Clean oven;
Clean stove elements and range hood;
Clean outside of stove;
Clean inside and outside of fridge.

Floors: (Sweeping and washing)

Sweep out rooms (moving small pieces of furniture, tables, chairs, etc.);
Vacuum;
Wash floors (once a month by hand) and the moulding.

Doors and windows:

Wash outside cupboard doors;
Wash inside and outside main door;
Wash main door sill;
Wash windows inside and out, if it is not necessary to climb.

Bedding and clothing:

Change the beds;
Wash bedding and clothing;
Hang clothing out to dry;
Iron clothing;
If requested by the client, put away clothing.

Bathroom:

Clean toilet, sink, bathtub and mirrors;
Wash floor.

Prepare meals:

Prepare regular non-diet meals;
Wipe off table after meals;
Wash dishes after meals;
Put dishes away in cupboard.

Run errands:

Go with clients to grocery store;
Carry bags from car or into the house;
Offer to empty bags and put groceries away.

HEAVY HOUSEKEEPING :

Thorough cleaning :

Wash walls and ceilings;
Move and replace furniture;
Take down curtains, wash and rehang them;
Wash inside of cupboards;
Clean closets.

Outside maintenance:

Mow the lawn;
Rake lawns;
Shovel off porches;
Paint porches and window frames;
Pick up leaves.

TARGET CLIENTELE:

Individuals aged 18 and up;
Individuals coping with reduced autonomy;
Families in difficulty;
Seniors;
Handicapped individuals.

DAY CARE PROJECT (ALZHEIMER) :

Services available:

Supervision of patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease;
Stimulate patients through activities adapted to their condition;
Provide services under the Financial Assistance Program.

NIGHT TIME CARE PROJECT :

Services available:

Designed to provide respite services for natural caregivers who are living with and providing care for a person with reduced autonomy and who must be present at night;
Presence-supervision with target clientele;
Help in getting around;
Help in getting to bathroom;
Diaper change;
Help in getting into bed.

Target clientele:

Individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease;
Persons with cognitive or other similar problems.

Our mission

The Seniors Association exist since 1989 and is recognized as a social enterprise in domestic help since 1998. Its scope extends to the entire population of the MRC Rocher Percé (Percé and Port Daniel).

Its mission is to promote home care for people living a loss of autonomy, to promote the integration into the labor market by creating sustainable employment in the domestic help sector and provide quality service to all customers.

The Seniors Association has 102 employees and offers more than 103,615 hours of service annually to the home of the MRC Rocher Percé population.
